Articles in press
The articles in press section hosts accepted JOSIS articles that are awaiting typesetting and publication in the next issue of JOSIS. Articles in press have an issue number, but have not yet received page numbers or a DOI. We are currently aiming to publish two issues of JOSIS per year. However, at JOSIS quality is paramount, so new issues only appear once after we have a enough accepted articles to constitute an issue (i.e., typically four research articles).

Discussion Forum
The discussion forum hosts authors' original manuscripts during formal peer review. Members of the spatial information science community and public are welcome to read articles in the discussion forum, and registered site users may also comment on articles. Comments will be moderated, and inappropriate comments removed. Authors who feel comments have stepped outside the bounds of constructive and scientific comments or criticism should contact the journal editors immediately.
